We are so excited to tell you all about our eleventh HWLT HEART campaign winner, Waldo’s Barbeque in Gilbert! Waldo’s has been happily serving its community since 1993. Before opening as an official restaurant, the owner, Clay Caldwell, simply had a passion for smoking meat. He shared his passion with friends, family, and employees on his pig farm. Realizing that his passion may be best served through a barbecue restaurant, Clay opened Waldo’s and has been cooking up delicious meat ever since.
When we told Clay and the staff of Waldo’s that they were our eleventh HWLT HEART campaign winner, they were ecstatic about the opportunity. So, when May 19th rolled around, they threw open their doors and got ready to take the avalanche of orders! The incredible employees at Waldo’s Barbeque worked tirelessly to keep the food rolling out and customers happy. The day was a smashing success, and we were thrilled to get the chance to try the famous barbecue. There is truly nothing else like it in Gilbert.
