Arizona's Husband & Wife Law Team, Mark and Alexis Breyer are so happy for the 7 Arizona principals who were recognized; Thank you for your service to Arizona’s youth!
Founders of a Teacher Appreciation Contest, serious injury attorneys Mark and Alexis Breyer care deeply about education—both students and educators. When they heard about the Rodel Foundation recognizing these seven principals, they wanted to extend their own congratulations to the group.
"As the son of a teacher, brother to two teachers, and father of eight children who are currently in or will be going to school, I know how much work it takes for these educators to be successful," Mark shares.
Alexis chimes in, "It's not just time, but money out of their own pockets, upwards of $1.3 billion nationwide, each year."
Actually, 91 percent of teachers from kindergarten to twelfth grade reported purchasing items for their students and classrooms, anything from classroom supplies, to food, to personal care items (Huffington Post 8/23/12).
Principals are not often recognized for their service, so this list by the Rodel Foundation is truly an honor for these educational professionals.
According to the Arizona Republic, the seven principals from Maricopa and Pinal counties are: Laura Couret from Quentin Elementary; Chad Gestson from Camelback High; Mike Henderson from Galveston Elementary; Elizabeth Mullavey from Sousa Elementary; and Patricia Scarpa from Desert Star Elementary.
Congratulations to this group of outstanding educators! They each received a $2,500 stipend and will be mentoring 3 aspiring principals each for the next two years.
