Ms. Barz of Gilbert, Arizona is HWLT's Teacher of the Month!

A second-grade teacher at Patterson Elementary, Mrs. Barz shows dedication and compassion to help her students excel in all areas of their young lives. Mrs. Barz goes above and beyond in her role, supporting her students through some of life’s most challenging times. One parent shared a touching story of how Mrs. Barz showed true compassion for her son, who had experienced the loss of his father just before Christmas. Mrs. Barz’s tireless efforts ensured that the child received love, encouragement, and the space needed to navigate his grief and thrive at school.

Mrs. Barz's ability to instill self-confidence in her students, her sincere care, and her unwavering dedication to teaching have left a lasting impact on her entire class. She exemplifies the true spirit of education, lighting up her classroom with her smile and energetic presence.

The surprise award presentation was a genuinely special moment. Mark entered the classroom to present Mrs. Barz with a personalized plaque, $500, and a future pizza party for her entire class. The room was filled with joy and appreciation as students and colleagues celebrated this well-deserved honor.
