Our Albuquerque Teacher of the Month is Ms. Deuel!
This month, we honored James Monroe Middle School’s Ms. Deuel with The Husband & Wife Law Team’s Teacher Appreciation Award. Ms. Deuel was presented with her award during a school-wide assembly where teachers and students alike cheered with joy to see her receive such meaningful accolades for her dedication to her work.
Ms. Deuel teaches 7th grade English Language Arts and 8th grade AVID, but her impact goes far beyond academics. Ms. Deuel also serves up guidance to her students as a volleyball coach. As one parent shared in their nomination, “Many students spend their lunch time in her room, which is a safe space. They enjoy spending time with such a great teacher.”
This recognition celebrates Ms. Deuel’s dedication to creating a nurturing environment where students feel supported and inspired. Her award includes a commemorative plaque, a $500 gift, and the promise of a future pizza party for her entire class.
