
Mrs. Debbie Plogman of Highland Lakes School in Glendale is the recipient of The Husband & Wife Law Team’s Teacher Appreciation Award for the month of February.
During Highland Lake’s morning announcements, Principal Mark Anderson and Attorney Mark Breyer surprised Mrs. Plogman by announcing her name as this month’s winner. Mrs. Plogman received numerous nominations from both parents and peers alike. Attorney Breyer awarded Plogman a $250.00 check, pizza party for her students, and an honorary plaque.

“Mrs. Plogman has the perfect amount of humor and intelligence to inspire students to reach their dreams” stated one nomination. Mrs. Plogman leads by example and won’t hesitate to alter a lesson plans to ensure her students’ success. Principal Anderson stated, “Her dedication to the students is apparent in her willingness to give of her free time to help any child that asks for assistance…Mrs. Plogman is a hard working and loving teacher who puts the students first.”
The Teacher Appreciation Award* isn’t the first honor bestowed upon Mrs. Plogman. According to another entry, in 2010 Plogman was honored as the Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Plogman has been teaching for 27 years, with the last 12 years as a special education teacher at Highland Lakes School. Plogman is head of the HLS Yearbook Club and supports all HLS teams.
