A former patient with a tough diagnosis nominated Makenna, who described her as "like an angel floating around the unit," noting her comforting presence and ability to connect, which can be particularly impactful for those lacking local family support. “It felt like she was always coming in to help a friend rather than a patient," the individual shared, highlighting the significance of her presence.
