Making a positive impact is something that the Husband & Wife Law Team, Mark and Alexis Breyer, enjoy as one of their favorite parts of giving back to the community.
Their monthly Teacher Appreciation award presentations across the state have been very well-received. The Husband & Wife Law Team extends their congratulations to their latest winning teacher, Ms. Shannon Moxley, at Tarwater Elementary School in Chandler!
Shannon Moxley: Tarwater Elementary School, Chandler
Escorted to her classroom by the school principal, Mark Breyer, while on camera documenting the surprise like a Prize Patrol, entered Ms. Moxley’s classroom to see a room full of happy 6th graders, doing “Gangham-style” on their desks. Their attention quickly turned to Mark, and his giant check for $250 with Ms. Moxley’s name on it.
“If there were an award that recognizes the best teacher in all of Phoenix, Chandler, Glendale, everywhere you can think of, raise your hand if you think Ms. Moxley deserves to win that award,” Mark said to the class, to which all the students enthusiastically raised one — or both — of their hands.
Ms. Moxley’s students were all nearly as surprised as Ms. Moxley herself when Mark presented her with her check, and award. But when it came time for Mark to present the pizza party courtesy of Peter Piper Pizza, they seemed even more excited for that than they were about Ms. Moxley’s prize! Of course, what child doesn’t get excited for pizza?
The most common sentiment in the nominations for Ms. Moxley was that it was obvious to all that “she wakes up every morning excited to come to work.” One parent even shared that their child loved her class so much that he is sad and misses her during school breaks.
