Elementary Teacher Awarded for Making a Lasting Difference
What a special moment it was to present Mrs. Vargas-Portley of Kearny Elementary School with The Husband & Wife Law Team's Teacher Appreciation Award! During a recent visit to the school’s Santa Fe campus, our team was proud to surprise Mrs. Vargas-Portley with a plaque and a $500 check in recognition of her outstanding dedication to students and her school community.
Mrs. Vargas-Portley is known for her professionalism, strong work ethic, and unwavering commitment to doing what is best for her students. Her nominator shared that she creates an environment that supports her students’ needs and helps them thrive. She consistently goes above and beyond to support those around her. When Kearny Elementary faced a staffing shortage last year, she didn't hesitate to step back into a classroom teaching role because she believed it was what the school and students needed most.
