Mrs. Bailey's Community Shows Their Appreciation
Kindergarten teachers fill a vital role in a child’s life as they enter elementary school. The ones who deeply care about their young students can make the experience turn from scary and big, to warm and comforting.
In a joyful surprise, Waggoner Elementary School’s Mrs. Bailey has been honored with The Husband & Wife Law Team’s Teacher Appreciation Award this month. Mark Breyer showed up at an all-school assembly and presented her with a plaque, a $500 gift, and the promise of a future pizza party for her entire kindergarten class, bringing smiles and excitement to students and staff alike.
Mrs. Bailey’s nomination highlighted her extraordinary warmth, empathy, and ability to connect deeply with every child she teaches. “With a heart as big as her smile,” one nominator wrote, “she creates a classroom environment where every student feels safe, valued, and deeply understood.”
Her heart shines through in every interaction, from comforting nervous students on their first day to celebrating each child’s unique personality and progress. “Her compassion doesn’t just teach academics—it nurtures confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning,” the nomination continued.
Mrs. Bailey’s dedication to her students and her gift for making learning joyful and meaningful make her a truly deserving recipient of this honor.
